SUMMARY: Mortenson is currently seeking a passionate Safety Engineer I or II - Civil who can interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Safety Engineer will work to implement Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety program at a project site and ensure a safe work environment for team members, subcontractors, and visitors to the construction work site. Travel is 100% anywhere in the U.S. with regular rotations home every 3 weeks for 4 days until project is completed or assigned to another project. The following requirements are non-negotiable. Must have either a 2 or 4 yr degree in health or safety OR meet all 3 of the following: 1. HS Diploma 2. OSHA30 AND 3. STS or CHST by the BCSP (NCCER, CHSO, SSHO certs do not meet certification requirement) This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications.
