Job Title: Seafood Clerk Department: Seafood: Reports to: Seafood Manager: Starting rate of pay: $16.25/hr: Position Summary : Under the direction of the department head and/or manager, the Seafood Clerk provides customers with friendly and efficient service. The Seafood Clerk receives, cleans, prepares, packages, wraps, prices, displays and stores fish, fish products and other seafood products. Prepares all seafood and products for retail sales. Assists with the housekeeping, security and safety standards of the department. Job duties: 1. * Provides friendly and courteous service to the customers. Maintains knowledge of the various seafood products. Answers and responds to the customer’s questions and inquiries. Obtains assistance from a supervisor or manager if unable to resolve any customer inquiry or special request. Takes the customer to the location of product(s) in question. Provides customers with serving suggestions for various seafood products. 2. * Receives, unloads and checks invoices for incoming fresh and frozen seafood merchandise and/or supplies.
