Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Full time, days One full weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday) 1 Holiday per year I Accountability Objectives: Carries out therapeutic treatment programs as identified by a registered occupational therapist in accordance with the physician's prescribed orders and maintains documentation as required by the department. Modifies treatment programs as appropriate to the patient's progress under the supervision of an occupational therapist. II Position Qualifications: Minimum Education, Licensure / Certification and Experience Required. A. Education: - Graduate of an accredited educational program by the AOTA (Associate Degree Program). B. Licensure / Certification: - Current State of Michigan COTA Registration. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. C Special Skill / Aptitudes: - Good interpersonal communication skills to deal effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel. - Teamwork approach, empathy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude when executing job duties. - Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of hospital personnel, outside cus...
