Overview JMCC is a community-based nonprofit human service agency incorporated in 1976. Our mission is to provide educational, cultural, social, recreational, and community services to moderate- and low-income residents of Allston/Brighton, ranging in age from 5 years old to older adulthood. JMCC serves thousands of residents from the Allston/Brighton community and the Greater Boston Area each year. Programs provided at JMCC include: - School-age programs - Afterschool programs (ages 5-12) - Summer school-age programs (ages 5-12) - Recreation programs - Adult education (ESOL and GED) - Teen programs - Adult enrichment and community resources - Youth outreach -Teen programming - Recreation/enrichment programming Our core philosophy is rooted in the belief that solutions and responsibilities lie with the people who benefit from and are committed to neighborhood preservation, economic self-sufficiency, and revitalization. JMCC serves over 3,000 low- to moderate-income participants annually.
