The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking an Assistant Day Camp Director to join our team. The YMCA focuses on empowering people in all forms, by improving health and well-being and inspiring action in and across our neighborhoods. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. As a Assistant Day Camp Director, you will be responsible for leading, supporting, and mentoring Day Camp Unit Leaders, camp staff, and campers to ensure exceptional camp experience. In this role, you will help plan and coordinate daily activities, guide staff in delivering high-quality programs, and maintain a fun, safe, and positive environment. Working closely with the Senior Program Director and Leadership Team, you’ll assist in organizing and carrying out the overall camp program. During the preseason, you’ll play a key role in recruiting staff, welcoming new campers, and building strong, professional relationships with campers and their families.
