Job Title: Patient Care Technician Department: Surgical Telemetry: Location: Unity Hospital: Hours Per Week: Full Time 37.5 hours Schedule: Nights and every other weekend SUMMARY: As a Patient Care Technician, you will provide direct or indirect patient care in accordance with treatment plans as determined/delegated by a licensed nurse. Your ability to assist with tasks necessary for the general management and organization of the patient care unit is crucial in the overall success of the unit and comfort of Rochester Regional patients. 3300 is a 19 bed, medical surgical unit that provides care to surgical patients, specializing and focusing on neurosurgery and thoracic surgery patients with laminectomies, spinal fusions, chest tubes, and more. As part of our interdisciplinary care team, you will often directly interact with surgeons, surgical Advanced Practice Providers, and Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses. The skills and knowledge gained on this unit could translate to a surgical nursing position, such as pre-an, OR, PACU, or a wound care/ostomy track.
