Job description

Fire Alarm Technician Job Description: Read prints, Install, program, and test fire alarm systems and devices in compliance with NFPA72 requirements. Possess functional understanding of how fire alarm systems work to include basic and ancillary functions for the purpose of troubleshooting and testing. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair alarm, trouble, and supervisory fire alarm issues on service calls using personal knowledge and technical support resources. Conduct Fire Alarm Inspections and document inspections in compliance with NFPA72 requirements in an electronic database format. Personally interact with service and inspection customers in a courteous, professional and confident manner. Communicate with management and peers effectively. Available for after-hours emergency service calls with compensation. Versatility: Knowledge and experience with other low voltage systems such as Data, access, and video is Highly desirable. Job requirements: Possess a current Arkansas Fire Alarm Technician License or the ability to obtain one. 12 consecutive months of Installation, Service, and Inspection of Fire Alarm, Security, and Monitoring Systems.
