Description: The Emory Department of Surgery, with The Emory University School of Medicine, is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor level. This is an academic position requiring teaching and research responsibilities, in addition to clinical work. This position will work primarily at the Emory Decatur Hospital (EDH) campus as an Emergency General Surgeon (EGS). SUMMARY OF DUTIES: - Serve as a surgeon for the Division of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery, Emory Critical Care Center (ECCC) within the Department of Surgery. - Participate in the supervision, clinical education, training and development of residents. - Teach and Leadership of Emory students and trainees. - Participate equitability with general surgery and emergency general surgery call at the EUH campus. - Develop academic portfolio in alignment with SOM goals. - Participation in hospital and health system qual...
