Job Summary: Uses mastery of trade skills and knowledge to recognize, document, and provide solutions to technical problems; known as a subject matter expert who has the ability to train and mentor cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Uses mastery of trade skills and knowledge along with proficiency in other trades to solve technical problems; interacts fluently with those in other trades to complete work assignments and mentor on trade expertise. Thoroughly understands Cummins’ processes and equipment; makes recommendations to management on process improvements. Provides technical leadership to cross-functional teams; uses mastery of trade to accelerate performance of others through training and development. Is recognized as a subject matter expert; acts as a consultant for other teams to solve unique technical problems. Develops training materials and documentation; conducts training programs. Reports project performance or progress updates to management or Engineering. Shares responsibility for and leadership of shift change meetings when necessary.
