Duty Worker – Kinship Assessment Team | 10283 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £29,064 to £31,022 per annum | Grade F | Countywide We are looking for a Duty Worker to join our countywide, specialist team within Norfolk Children’s Services. We are a very busy assessment team where each piece of work is time-sensitive and social workers are always working to deadlines – often court directed deadlines. The team writes Viability Assessments which are short assessments and Special Guardianship and Connected Foster Care Assessments which are lengthier and more in-depth reports, all of these relate to people’s suitability and capacity to care for children they know/are connected to. Good quality and timely background checks are the cornerstone of effective and thorough assessments, and a Duty Worker will be supporting the team through facilitating timely checks, such as with health, police and education being requested (and followed-up if required) to ensure the social worker has the best information for their assessments.
