Description Location: NAS Patuxent River, MD: Security Clearance Requirement: Active Secret: Telework Eligible? No, work will be performed on site. What You’ll Do: As a Communications Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the development, integration, testing, and retrofit of P-8A Poseidon avionics systems. In this role, you will directly support Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR)’s Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft Program (PMA-290), contributing to complex communications and avionics engineering efforts. This position is based at Naval Air Station Patuxent River and/or our corporate office in Lexington Park, MD. Key Responsibilities: This description outlines the general nature and scope of the role. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary. - Analyze, design, integrate, test, and troubleshoot advanced communications systems, including CDL, HF/HF-IP, V/UHF, SATCOM, MIDS-JTRS, Link 11/16/22, IBS, ICS, MUOS, INMARSAT, and Starshield. - Perform RF system analysis (e.g., link budgets, co-site interference), evaluate system performance, and recommend design improvements. - Assess avionics system and subsystem design maturity and provide technical recomm...
