Payroll Specialist

Job description

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for payroll processing, payroll audits, system updates, document/file review, and verification that is required. General Responsibilities: - Participates in processing the payroll with speed and accuracy - Audits employee record and reconciles totals by department / location / country etc. - Assists with policy interpretation to ensure appropriate amounts or deductions are calculated and applied to any necessary amounts - Participate in the verification of compliance to all local, state, and federal policies / laws and requirements - Assists with any internal audits, workers compensation situations, tax filing and other related documentation Experience / Qualifications: - A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. - Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands - Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation - Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results - Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity - Holds self-accountable to achieving goals an...
