A Research Scientist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Maulik Patel at the Van Andel Institute (VAI). The Patel Lab studies fundamental aspects of mitochondrial biology using Caenorhabditis elegans as a model system, with a focus on mitochondrial DNA regulation and cellular metabolism. We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated scientist to develop an independent research program focused on metabolism in C. elegans . This position is ideal for a candidate who is excited to build and lead a research direction that leverages the unique strengths of the Van Andel Institute, including access to state-of-the-art metabolism and proteomics cores.
