Fiscal Specialist II – Healthy Families - Health and Human Services - PG 10 $19.33/hr $40,206.40/annual MAJOR FUNCTION: Responsible work coordinating the fiscal management/accounting activities and functions, auditing governmental tracking and/or accountability and administrative supervisory work for the respective program in the Division of Health and Human Services. ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES: Will include many if not all the following: - Receives, reviews, and prepares fiscal invoices, statements, p-cards and/or purchase orders, relative correspondence and reports for payment authorization and appropriate signatures. - Creates and submits monthly grant reimbursement requests. - Audits program finances to ensure funds are properly expended and recorded in accordance with established county, state and federal policies, procedures, regulations, and guidelines. - Monitors and maintains grant and budgetary controls for assigned programs, including analyzing general ledger expense reports and preparing journal entries to correct and balance transactions. - Ensures that account balances are accurate, updated, and sufficient for proposed expenditures prior to forwarding for approval. - Request...
