Job description

Here’s what you’ll be doing: - Assists patients in the selection of frames and lenses. This requires a knowledge of optical related products. - Performs patient pretesting including oral history and gathering data through use of common eyecare diagnostic instruments. - Repairs, adjusts and orders eye glass frames. - Teaches new contact lens wearers how to apply, remove, clean and care for lenses. - Performs tasks involving insurance verification, billing and coding, appointment scheduling, scanning & filing in charts. - Assists in management of data through reports & graphing related to inventory, volume and efficiency both in the dispensary and patient care area. What you’ll need to be successful: - High school diploma or equivalent - One year recent experience working in an eye care position or in a healthcare setting involving direct patient care - Experience with computers and office machines, including Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Access, and One Note. Experience with electronic health record. - Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens - FCP complies with all CDC vaccine and testing recommendations for healthcare professionals.
