Job Summary Temporary Research Assistant to be hired in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology This position is grant-funded; employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds. Essential Functions: - Carries out culturing of malaria parasites Generates recombinant plasmids for transfection Carries out transfection of malaria parasites Conducts phenotypic analyses of transfected parasites Assists in general laboratory maintenance Required Qualifications: - Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate in Microbiology. - Minimum of 1 year of experience. Physical Demands: - Typically sitting at a desk/table - Typically standing, walking Location: - Queen Lane Campus - Philadelphia, PA Additional Information: This is a Full-Time temporary position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
