Job Summary This position provides clerical secretarial support to department staff and managers. This position reports to the department manager or director. Essential Functions: - Acts as the initial contact/correspondence with all new applicants to Beaumont Health. Receives applicants request for membership, enter applicant’s information into Credentialing data base to create a stub record, add required modifiers, analyze provider data and identifies appropriate privileges and application to be sent. Sends applicant relevant application/privileges. If needed works with hospital MSO to determine correct documents. - Receives and assesses application for completeness, corresponds with applicant to obtain missing documentation, -assigns to credentialing coordinator, manages initial correspondence with applicant. Monitors/Manages application queue to establish equal distribution of workload. Notifies leadership of any disparate in balance of work. - Possess knowledge of credential process, workflows to support credentialing coordinators, and leadership.
