Examines and diagnoses patients and develops treatment plans. As appropriate for clinical setting provides treatment for illnesses, injury, emergencies, prenatal care, follow up, and screening and testing. Performs testing, referral to physicians as needed, writes prescriptions, and performs procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols and available equipment. Education: program Required or - Monitors and evaluates medical condition of patient in collaboration with the physician and with other disciplines and standards of care or by applying appropriate protocols, and makes decisions regarding treatment changes.
