Schedule Full-Time: 40 Hours/Weekly: Full time, day/evening: Every 4th weekend: General Summary: Level I Pharmacists provide prescribed pharmaceuticals and drug information as needed for patient care according to professional standards and practices. The Level I Pharmacist role includes routine distributive and clinical services with time in those domains contingent upon the needs of the facility and department. Level 1 Pharmacists may advance to a Level II Pharmacist position based upon job performance and successful completion of the requirements for advancement established in the Pharmacist Career Ladder Program (PCLP) criteria grids. Essential Functions: - Maintains the requirements located in the PCLP Mandatory and Optional Criteria Grids for the Level I Pharmacist. - Provides oversight of safe, accurate, and timely medication order verification including clarification of any medication orders with discrepancies prior to dispensing. - Provides pharmacy management and oversight of: • Integrity and security of medications in all care locations. • Investigational drugs. • Preparation of injectable chemotherapy. • Medication wastage, returns, and recalls. • Reconciliation of contr...
