WordPress Web Developer - Contract

Job description

Perseus Group is looking for a senior to intermediate WordPress web developer to own the ongoing maintenance, security, and optimization of our primary website. This is a long-term contract role focused on maintaining a mature WordPress codebase that is stable, secure, and evolving. What you’ll do: Own ongoing maintenance of our WordPress website, including updates, fixes, and improvements Execute cosmetic and structural site changes while protecting the integrity of the existing codebase Regularly evaluate WordPress plugins, assess vulnerabilities, and apply patches or replacements as needed Support and extend a multilingual website, including adding new languages with proper SEO structure and localization best practices Ensure the site is optimized for organic search, including traditional SEO foundations and emerging AI-driven search considerations Proactively flag risks, performance issues, or technical debt and recommend practical solutions What we’re looking for: Senior or strong intermediate WordPress developer with hands-on experience maintaining production websites Deep understanding of WordPress core, themes, plugins, and custom development Strong grasp of website securit...
