Company Cox Automotive - USA Job Family Group: Vehicle Operations Job Profile: Body Shop Painter II (Union) Management Level: Individual Contributor Flexible Work Option: No remote option; must work at a specified Cox location Travel %: No Work Shift: Day Job Description: Auto Body Painter II: This position is responsible for formulating and applying properly mixed and dispensed automotive refinish materials to vehicle surfaces and sub-assemblies, using spray-painting equipment, power tools, and other related equipment. Adherence to procedures defined in Manheim’s Body Shop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) is required. Must be able to prep, sand, tape, mix, spray, wheel, and finish vehicles as part of a refinishing team up to the quality control standards established within the shop. Job Responsibilities: Inspect panels to be painted for proper body repair, prepping and/or masking and notify manager when imperfections are found before applying any refinish coatings. Assure all refinish products are properly formulated to meet color match and finish texture expectations, utilizing all tools and techniques provided by paint suppliers technical support system (i.e., TDS, color matc...
