Job Description The Registered Social Worker (SW) will practice within the interprofessional team model and will be responsible for providing psychotherapy and safety planning to clients 13 years and older who have experienced recent sexual assault, sexual abuse, human trafficking, or intimate partner violence. The Social Worker will also provide psychoeducation to family members affected by trauma; with the goal of assisting clients and their families to achieve optimal functioning throughout the continuum of care. Contribute to safe, quality care by: - Conducting individual intakes and formulating treatment plans with clients who have experienced recent sexual assault, sexual abuse, human trafficking, and/or intimate partner violence. - Provide counselling to clients utilizing the tri-phasic model of trauma counselling and evidence-based trauma therapies - Advocating for and with the clients at DASA - Providing community referrals to other organizations based on the formulated treatment plan for each client - Providing educational presentations to community partners regarding sexual assault and intimate partner violence - Participating in regional committees working toward ending...
