Job description

Department Summary The Aviation and Technology Department at San José State University offers Bachelor of Science in Aviation (BS Aviation). Additionally, the department also offers a Master of Science in Quality Assurance (MSQA) for those students interested in pursuing a graduate level degree. The Aviation Program offers four options: Professional Flight (Pilots), Aviation Management (Management), Flight Operations (Operations), and Maintenance Management (Maintenance). The department has an enrollment of 270 students. The Aviation Program's Flight Simulation Lab is equipped with over 10 simulators and enjoys access to the County's Reid-Hillview Airport with a 10,000 SF hangar, classrooms, laboratories, and offices. Students in both the Aviation and Technology Programs can participate in internships and earn credits (Avia 195 and Tech 195). Undergraduate students are strongly encouraged to engage in individual research projects, collaborating with department faculty to gain experience in conducting research, motivating them to pursue graduate studies (Avia 180 and Tech 180).
