Memorial Community Hospital & Health System is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Release of Information Technician to join our Health Information Management (HIM) team. This role plays a vital part in protecting patient privacy and ensuring the accurate and timely release of medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies. As a key member of our HIM department, you’ll handle confidential health information, respond to requests from patients and providers, and contribute to a collaborative and efficient work environment. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week) Qualifications: - Process all Release of Information (ROI) requests for hospital and clinic records with accuracy and timeliness. - Respond to inquiries via phone, mail, fax, and in person, ensuring excellent customer service. - Verify patient identity and authorization for record release in compliance with HIPAA and legal standards. - Track and prioritize medical record requests to support patient care, billing, and other needs. - Conduct quality checks to ensure confidentiality and proper invoicing. - Access and distribute transcribed reports from electronic health r...
