Responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Network Engineering Lead to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard. Responsibilities: - Provide advanced technical authority for enterprise network engineering: routing, switching, firewall architectures, VPN solutions, load balancing, segmentation, and secure connectivity services. - Define and refine engineering standards, reference architectures, configuration baselines, and implementation templates to ensure scalability, interoperability, and compliance. - Advise on WAN/LAN modernization, technology refresh cycles, and integration of emerging capabilities while preserving mission continuity for legacy systems. - Develop capacity models, resiliency strategies, and performance optimization approaches to enhance availability, redundancy, and fault tolerance. - Conduct in‑depth technical reviews of network designs, complex incident resolutions, and infrastructure changes to validate alignment with enterprise architecture and best practices. - Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, and operations teams to mitigate risk, remediate vulnerabilities, and improve performance...
