Description We are actively seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team. FIC America Corp. is a global Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. Essential Job Functions: - Oversee a variety of automated equipment and processes, such as Welding (Spot, MIG / TIG, Vibration, Laser, Ultrasonic, and Plasma) and Stamping (Transfer, Progression and Blanking) - Prepare design (hand and CAD) sketches and blueprints of machinery, fixtures, and layouts - Calculate and analyze lead, takt, and cycle times to optimize production - Analyze layouts of equipment, workflow, and assembly needs to devise methods to maximize efficiency - Program, monitor, and modify Programmable Logic Controllers (e.g. -Mitsubishi PLC, Allen Bradley, and Omron) to meet safety standards and production goals - Demonstrated Team Player with good communication skills (written & verbal) - Process equipment evaluation, specifications, procurement, and implementation - Coordinate with production personnel, vendors, and external contractors to implement process improvements (Kaizens) - Structured problem solving experience (e.g. - 5 Why’s, 8D) - Complete supporting d...
