Summary The Coordinator, School Safety & Emergency Preparedness serves as a key leader in the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive school safety and emergency management programs across the district. This position focuses on emergency preparedness planning, crisis response coordination, emergency drills, school reunification operations, and campus safety assessments. The incumbent ensures schools are operationally ready to prevent, respond to, and recover from emergencies in alignment with NIMS, ICS principles, and state/federal best practices. This position requires 24/7 on-call availability to support critical incidents and emergency activations. Essential Duties: - Develops, implements, and evaluates district-wide emergency operations plans (EOPs) for schools and central office locations. Specifically, develops plans for each school site location for reunification, including non-school sites - Leads the design, coordination, and documentation of required emergency drills (lockdown, evacuation, reunification, severe weather, fire, etc.) - Coordinates development and maintenance of school-based crisis response teams.
