APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM, SO APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON SHORT NOTICE. The Architecture Department seeks innovative and energetic applicants for part-time lecturer positions in a range of areas listed below. Multiple positions are available for the 2026-2027 academic year for fall semester beginning August 17, 2026, and spring semester beginning January 22, 2027. The majority of available positions are on the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo campus, but applications are also being accepted for off-campus programs in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Applicants that are only applying for San Francisco or Los Angeles must clearly indicate this in their cover letter. Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank.
