Job Description: Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada is recruiting for two Maintenance Repair Specialist 1 for the Facilities and Maintenance Department. The position will maintain, repair, and modify plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and paint work. Other duties include, but are not limited to; working special events and space set up; supervising employees and students; training part-time laborers and student workers; instillation of toilets and sinks; troubleshoot electrical issues; installing window coverings; working with vendors; setting up scaffolding; handling irate customers in difficult situations in a helpful manner; meet with clients to determine need; perform all duties in a safe manner according to institutional policy and procedure; keep others involved and informed; other duties as assigned.
