Job description
If you are eager to kick-start your scientific career and work at the forefront of advanced manufacturing simulations, this opportunity is for you. At DTU, you will contribute to cutting-edge research in laser-based additive manufacturing, combining thermo-mechanical modelling and numerical simulation approaches to understand and optimize the printing of copper alloys.: Applications are invited for a position within the field of thermo-mechanical simulation of laser-based 3D printing, as part of the EU-funded GlobalAM project. The position focuses on modelling residual stress development and temperature evolution during laser processing of metallic materials. The project involves implementing high-fidelity thermo-mechanical models developed at DTU Construct, section of Manufacturing Engineering (MPP) and applying them to simulate process-induced phenomena in laser printing. In addition, the work includes developing reduced-order models based on these high-fidelity simulations to enable faster and more efficient predictions. The job The main objective of this position is to investigate the relationship between process parameters and resulting thermal and mechanical responses during...
