Civil Engineer - Water/Wastewater (PE) Department: Water/Wastewater: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Galax: Reporting To: Kevin Heath: Description: The Civil Engineer II, P.E. is responsible for performing and supporting the design, analysis, and delivery of civil and infrastructure projects for public-sector clients. This role is suited for a licensed professional engineer who is ready to take increased ownership of project tasks, collaborate closely with project managers and senior engineers, and contribute to high-quality, on-time project delivery. What You'll Do: - Prepare engineering designs, calculations, plans, and specifications for civil and transportation infrastructure projects. - Support roadway, drainage, site civil, and utility-related design efforts under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers. - Coordinate with internal disciplines, subconsultants, and external stakeholders to support project delivery. - Apply applicable state, federal, and local standards and design criteria to engineering work. - Assist with plan production, technical reports, cost estimates, and permit documentation. - Respond to review comments and support quality control an...
