Photonic Design Engineer at QuiX Quantum BV/GmbH Netherland/Germany: Photonic Design Engineer QuiX Quantum is pioneering advancements in photonic quantum computing, a dynamic and rapidly evolving field. Since our founding in 2019, we have achieved world records in quantum photonic processing. As we continue to expand, we're excited to add a Photonic Design Engineer to our team. This flexible, hybrid position requires a minimum of one day in the office each week and offers work locations in Germany or the Netherlands. Key Responsibilities: - Design and simulate photonic components using tools like Lumerical. - Develop PIC layouts in IPKISS, GdsFactory, or similar. - Support internal PDK development and maintenance. - Automate and script simulations with Python or similar languages. - Collaborate with team members using Git for code management. - Integrate photonic designs into system architectures. Required Qualifications: - MSc in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or related; PhD preferred. - 3+ years of photonics design experience, preferably in industry. - Experince in Lumerical and PIC layout tools (eg.
