Job description

Purpose of the Position: The Group Fitness Instructor will be responsible for providing appropriate group exercise and quality fitness instruction for University Fitness Center members, to include students, faculty, staff, community members, and participants. Duties/Responsibilities: - Serve as a subject matter expertise in appropriate group exercise and quality fitness instruction for University Fitness Center members, to include students, faculty, staff, community members, and participants - Prepare materials, equipment and location for class offerings - Provide guidance and support to class participants both individually and corporately - Conduct an assessment of class participation and satisfaction - Ensure teaching methods and modalities are accepted as safe and appropriate by University Recreation - Exercise sound independent judgement and employ reasoning skills - Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants - Arrive promptly for class and provide instruction for the entire advertised class time period Minimum Requirements: OR be enrolled in the In-House CPT/ GE certification Course at UAH Recreation - High school education or equivalent - 0-8+ years of...
