Position Overview The Security Officer plays a key role in maintaining a safe healthcare environment. Not only is customer service a part of their job description, as they are the first to greet visitors who come into the facilities but so is handling confrontations and providing issue management and support. The variety of security and safety related tasks encompass the safeguarding of employees, patients, visitors, providers and property, and they include responding to alarms, emergency requests, de-escalation tactics, and resolving safety incidents. At times, it will be expected that Security Officers manage agitated or aggressive patients or visitors. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Security Services, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital Primary Work Shift: Day Rotational Compensation Range: $18.56 - $26.92 per hour, depending on experience You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.
