Compensation: $20.48- $25.63 Compensation Type: Hourly Employment Type: Regular Grade: E05 Position Summary Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Safety and Environmental Health, the Safety Technician performs tasks to support compliance with safety, fire prevention, and environmental health programs. This position performs entry-level safety checks on equipment, assists with maintaining safety supplies, provides vendor escorts, collects and analyzes information, and helps support good housekeeping and a safe environment. Duties & Responsibilities: - This role requires frequent walking and movement through various campus environments, including movement between campuses and outdoor spaces. - On a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, assists with campus-wide safety checks on equipment. - Escorts third parties (vendors) contracted to perform assessments, testing, and evaluations, to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards and regulations. - Assists the Safety, Fire Prevention, and Environmental Health Analyst to support campus safety and environmental health programs. - Provides support with the development of training and safety programs that impact the s...
