Job Details PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Manager, Anesthesia is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and activities of the Anesthesia Technologist in accordance with standards established by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT). The role requires the ability to organize, coordinate, and supervise all departmental functions, including airway management and ventilation support, management of fluids and blood components, anesthesia-related pharmacology and pathophysiology support, anesthesia equipment preparation, utilization of biotechnology and patient monitoring systems, and supply and inventory management. The manager ensures compliance with ChristianaCare policies, regulatory standards, and unit-level procedures while actively participating in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives. Additionally, the Manager plans, organizes, and directs the work of anesthesia technical personnel to support physicians and CRNAs in the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia care and high-quality patient outcomes.
