Laminating Assistant

Job description

Winpak Division is seeking an Assistant to join the Laminating department based out of Winnipeg on the 8-hour rotating shift. In this role you will assist the operators in the safe operation of the laminators and ensure quality and production are maintained. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Operators with the preparation of orders. - Assist the Operators with the running of the laminating machine with emphasis on the manual aspects associated with the operation of the machine. - Assist with simple routine maintenance on the machines. - Operate the laminators for short periods as backup. - Operate forklift and/or pallet jack equipment to move materials within the department. Required Qualifications: - 1+ years of experience clearly communicating with team members both verbal and written. - Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts as required including days, nights, and afternoons. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (22.5 kg). - 6 + months of experience with hand and/or power tools.
