Mergers and Acquisition Accountant

Job description

The role reports directly to the M&A Accounting Manager and provides transactional support to the M&A Accounting team. It includes the preparation of journal entries, analysis of account reconciliations, sources and uses of cash, analysis of seller accounts receivable and roll forwards, inventory and orders in transit, as well as deal-related liabilities. The role is heavily focused on the review and reconciliation of practice-level accounts, supporting banking needs, preparing deferred purchase price release agreements, and assisting with other special projects, analysis, or accounting responsibilities as needed. - Prepare monthly journal entries related to acquisitions and assigned accounts while maintaining accurate supporting documentation and ensuring timely submission. - Collaborate with the General Ledger team on additional analysis and review of financials. - Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies; review with M&A Accounting team and other managers and propose adjustments as appropriate. - Support the M&A Accounting team by maintaining the various checklists and schedules for the Deal Transaction Logs to ensure accurate t...
