Position Overview: - Bonus : Up to $15,000 (if applicable) - Department : Cardiac Cath Lab - Schedule : Full time, Day shift - Work Location : UAB St. Vincent's East - Trussville - Benefits for eligible positions only include : generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do: To assist the physician in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias. To function in the roles of scrub assistant, monitor and circulator. To operate various equipment utilized in the cath lab. - Admits and orients patient to cardiac cath lab according to pre-procedural checklist. Accurately enters patient information to database, hemodynamic and x-ray systems. Explains testing procedure to patient and/or significant others including exam to be performed, type of contrast media used, length of exam and equipment necessary to perform exam. - Functions as a scrub assistant; establishes and maintains sterile field according to department/institution policy.
