SUMMARY: The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Psychiatrist is responsible for the provision of compassionate and evidenced-based direct care to patients (Child and Adolescent) and their families in a fast paced environment. The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Psychiatrist will work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide the high quality care to include providing evaluation and treatment for children and adolescents who are suffering from an acute mental health crisis, completing an assessment and creating a treatment/disposition plan specific to the needs of each patient. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide treatment services in any capacity including, but not limited to, assessment, medication management and disposition of psychiatric patients including making arrangements for hospitalization if needed. - Provide routine, intensive, complex and emergency intakes and extended evaluations for a variety of emotional, psychological, and behavioral disorders. - Ability to provide oversight and collaboration to advanced psychiatric nurse practitioners. - Follows and ensures agency policy/procedures, including all emergency procedures are adhered to. - Ensures patients are referred to appropria...
