Shift: Days Job type: Per Diem: Hours: 0800-1700: Position Summary: Evaluates patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic techniques fro rehabilitation of speech, language, hearing, and oral motor disorders. Primary Duties: 1. Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control standards. 2. Gathers data related to patient’s communication disorder, selects appropriate evaluation tool(s) for the purpose of assessment, and administers diagnostic testing procedures to determine the extent of the patient’s impairment and the prognosis for improvement. 3. Performs evaluations with special attention to receptive and expressive language skills, speech fluency, vocal and oral motor competence, articulation, auditory skills, cognitive linguistic skills and swallowing disorders. 4. Develops and maintains long and short-term treatment goals for each patient. Re-evaluates and modifies treatment programs as indicated. 5.
