Description Assists Physician and Registered Nurse with basic patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of the Nurse Manager. Maintains an environment that is prepared for patient care. In addition to the clinical duties, the Lead Radiologic Technologist will also provide coverage when needed and provide day to day Radiology and Laboratory leadership and support. Oversees the laboratory and radiology department as described below. Oversees the daily operations of the Radiology Department by ensuring that the department operates and is compliant with all State, Federal and accrediting agencies (as applicable). Duties/Responsibilities: - Reviews and assigns a radiology work schedule and is responsible for finding/filling all open shifts. - Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors. - Properly operate x-ray and radiographic equipment to produce radiographic images of the human body for diagnosis by a radiologist. - Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preve...
