The Corporate Services and Facilities Department (CSF) of the International Monetary Fund is looking to fill the position of Section Chief of the French Section in Language Services. Under the supervision and guidance of the Head of Language Services and the Chief Translator, the Section Chief manages a section which provides translation and related services into French, mostly from English, but occasionally also from Spanish and from Portuguese. Duties and Responsibilities: - Plan, supervise, and coordinate the Section’s activities, including translation, revision, proofreading, and editing, as necessary to produce high-quality translations and publications. - Supervise, motivate, evaluate and assess performance of staff in the Section. - Assign work and establish priorities to meet deadlines. - Perform translation and revision as necessary. - Determine resource needs and actively participate in the recruitment of regular and contractual staff.
