Definition The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for leading the development, writing, implementation, and evaluation of the district's curriculum in specific content areas. This role involves ensuring that all curriculum aligns with state and district standards, fostering instructional coherence across the district, and supporting teachers in delivering high-quality instruction. Duties and Responsibilities: - Lead the development, writing, and revision of curriculum maps, units, instructional resources, and curriculum websites in assigned content areas. - Ensure alignment of the curriculum with state standards, district goals, and best instructional practices. - Collaborate with school-based coaches, school administration, and other specialists to support curriculum implementation across the district. - Design and provide ongoing professional development and training for teachers on curriculum-related topics. - Analyze student performance data to inform curriculum adjustments and instructional strategies. - Stay informed about current trends and research in education, curriculum development, and content-specific pedagogy. - Attends NCDPI curriculum meetings and training for im...
