Operations Safety Officer

Job description

The Role You will provide safety leadership, lead the implementation, monitoring, & improvement of GEV’s safety management system. You will work with Operations management & site teams to manage safety risks & compliance with HASAWA & other applicable legislation. You will promote GEV’s proactive safety culture & ensure incidents are managed & reported effectively. Key Responsibilities: Safety Management: 2. Employee Safety Engagement Promote proactive safety reporting & GEV’s Fail Safely principles. Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, & safety campaigns to reinforce safe behaviours. Act as a point of contact for safety advice & employee safety concerns. 3. Reporting and Improvement Monitor & report on safety performance, including incidents, observations, & corrective actions. Track & report on safety KPIs such as incident rates, site inspection findings, & safety action closure rates. Identify trends & areas for improvement in safety performance.
