Job Summary Under the direction of the Standardized Patient and Simulation Director, the Simulated Patient Technician (SP Tech) will assist with the coordination of Standardized Patients (SPs) and provide technical and organizational support for all SP events. They will also work with faculty and students before and during SP events as needed to support effective learning and assessment activities. Essential Functions: - Collaborate with the Standardized Patient and Simulation Director in the oversight of SP-student learning events to ensure seamless execution. - Under the direction of the Standardized Patient and Simulation Director, duties may include using and operating medical equipment (e.g., otoscopes, ophthalmoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, task trainers, etc.) and assisting with the setup and breakdown of student programs and activities as needed. - Act as an embedded standardized patient in simulation after training is provided. - Anticipate scheduling, technical, and supply issues in the Simulation Center and coordinate with the Standardized Patient and Simulation Director to troubleshoot and problem-solve. - Work with program faculty and students before and during SP even...
