Building Location: South University Clinic Department: 3022420 IV PHARMACY - SU Job Description: The acute care pharmacist clinician is responsible for providing accurate, safe, and efficient pharmaceutical care, teaching, training and practice development. Opportunities exist for clinical practice in both pediatric and/or adult medicine. Job duties also include developing and maintaining medication ordering, dispensing, and delivery systems for patients; educating pharmacists, pharmacist residents, pharmacy students, and other health care personnel in areas of expertise; and participating in programs related to drug therapy activities (medication use evaluations, medication use policies and guidelines, formulary management, medication error reduction). The pharmacist clinician will act as the PGY 1 pharmacy residency program director as well as coordinate/precept pharmacy students’ learning rotations.
