Position Title Patient Scheduling Specialist Broadmoor Campus: Position Summary / Career Interest: The Scheduler Admitting Representative is responsible for all aspects of scheduling at all locations with general supervision. Interacts with physicians, office staff, patients, patient families, nursing personnel, and other clinical personnel in a courteous and professional manner with a focus on keeping delays in procedural scheduling to a minimum. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions: - Must be organized, able to prioritize, use critical thinking skills, and perform work in an efficient and timely manner within established guidelines and policies; is proficient, accurate, and demonstrates attention to detail in all aspects of the job. - Maintains knowledge and understanding of scheduling protocols and guidelines, patient registration, pre-certification requirements and basic levels of health insurance and billing procedures.
