Job description

During weekdays, days are varied, shift can start as early as 6am and as late as 11am. Includes every other weekend and holidays as needed. Job Description: Registers patients and provides information regarding Hospital rules and regulations. Interviews to obtain demographic and insurance information. Obtains signatures on medical, legal and financial forms. Performs a variety of clerical duties related to patient's admission, including but not limited to, verification of insurance information, and collection of balances, deductibles and co-payments. Job Responsibility: *ADA Essential Functions - * Admits incoming patients to the facility. - Conducts interviews to obtain relevant demographic and insurance data; obtains appropriate signatures on medical, legal and financial forms. - Greets patients and/or visitors to the facility in a courteous manner. - Provides interpretation of Hospital policies and regulations to patients including, but not limited to visiting hours, patient rights, services etc. - Communicates and collects account balances, deductibles and co-payment responsibilities; reconciles at day end. - Enters patient information into Hospital Information System, verifies...
