Job description

Plymouth State University Physical Plant seeks a professional, experienced building trades technician to perform carpentry, general and preventive maintenance services, inspection, repair, fabrication, re-roofing, and alteration of college property. Duties/Responsibilities: (45%) Perform repairs and maintenance tasks in minor electrical, plumbing, painting, building and mechanical trades, requiring basic skills but not a license or journeyman experience. Includes but is not limited to: window/window hardware/screens, light bulb replacements, floor tile, repair faucets, plugged drains, install shelving, repair/replace window shades, install bathroom accessories, install and remove window air conditioning units. Handle emergency repairs in designated areas. Work according to computerized work order assignments, completing work orders to maintain records. (35%) Perform new construction within buildings, including but not limited to: working on floors, ceilings, walls, roofs, porches, partitions, moldings, window sashes, framework, framing (wood & metal), white/black/bulletin boards, doors, built-in bookcases, desks, and counter tops, etc. Includes repairing & installing dry walls, cei...
